Burns TV career started in 1995, when she portrayed Peg in the Spanish American sitcom Out of the Blue. Burns made her debut on television with the show in 1995. She joined the cast of the spanish-American Teen sitcom, Out of the Blue (1995-1996). In the following years, she was a part of Baywatch: Hawaii Baywatch: Hawaii, which is the second installment of the Baywatch action-packed series. Burns left Baywatch due to her first pregnancies.
